Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan for allegedly forcing a 26-year-old woman to have a physical relationship with him by threatening to make their intimate pictures & videos viral.

The jawan, identified as Manoj Kumar Mahakud (40), is currently posted at BSF camp near Badatota in Jatni of Khurda district. He got in touch with the woman, who worked as an agent for a construction company in Bhubaneswar, while looking for a plot of land to buy in 2017.

A few months later, Mahakud proposed marriage to her. He then forcefully maintained physical relations for over a year.

The woman later filed a complaint against the accused at Mahila Police Station, Bhubaneswar. She alleged that he initially convinced her to have a physical relationship on the pretext of marriage and later when she refused, he threatened to make the pictures and videos viral.
