Keonjhar: A BSF jawan allegedly ended his life by hanging himself from a tree at Sagadapata village under Harichandanpur block in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Umakant Nayak of Dhurudiamba village.
According to sources, Umakant had gone to his in-laws’ house in Sagadapata to meet his wife and son where a heated argument ensued between the couple on August 3.
Following this, Umakant left the house. His body was found hanging from a tree this morning.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body. The body has been sent for post-mortem and police have registered a case. A probe has been initiated into the incident.
