Keonjhar: A BSF jawan is accused of hacking his father to death in Madanpura village under Ramachandrapur police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Sunday evening.
According to sources, the accused Ranjan Kumar Ojha (25) is posted in Arunachal Pradesh and had come to village on leave. A dispute between the jawan and his father Pramod Kumar Ojha (58) over a family feud took an ugly turn as Ranjan lost his cool and hacked Pramod with a knife.
Ranjan also attacked his younger brother Basudev (22). All three sustained injuries during the incident and were admitted to hospital.
While both the brothers are currently undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, the elderly man succumbed to his injuries at Sainkula Hospital.
Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem as part of investigation.
