As expected, internet service providers (ISP) are rolling out cheaper and faster plans after Reliance announced its game-changing Jio Fiber plans.
JioFiber, which will begin services from September 5, will have packages starting at Rs 700 a month and speeds of 100Mbps.
State-owned BSNL on Wednesday announced a combo plan priced at Rs 1,199 a month. Like Jio Fiber, subscribers of this plan will also get free unlimited calls and data. Unlike Jio Fiber, BSNL customers will get free calls on mobile networks as well, 3 mobile numbers to be precise in this plan. Users will get 10Mbps speed with FUP limit of 30GB per day. Talking about Jio Fiber effect, Airtel had recently announced 3-months free Netflix subscription with its broadband internet packages. Bhubaneswar-based Wefe also is offering a year’s subcription free with a year’s package.
