Builder Escapes Unhurt In Firing In Rourkela

Rourkela: A builder of Rourkela city had a providential escape after some armed miscreants opened fire at him on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, Anmol Singh, the builder, was on the way to Rourkela in his vehicle with his bodyguard when some miscreants chased his vehicle and fired 10 rounds at him at Beladihi. Fortunately, Singh escaped unhurt while one bullet hit his bodyguard.

The miscreants later fled the area.

Following information, a team of police of the Brahmanitarang police station rushed to the spot and seized five empty cartridges.

The injured bodyguard was later shifted to the Ispat General Hospital where his condition was stated to stable.

This is the second time that the miscreants had tried to kill Singh.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants.
