Bhubaneswar: A builder was arrested for allegedly duping a person by selling him a house constructed without the approval of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).
He has been identified as Sandipta Kishore Patnaik (50), a resident of Kailash Vihar here.
According to sources, Dr Sanghamitra Kar had bought a house at Kalinga Nagar in the Odisha capital about a few months backs. However, he was soon served a notice for illegal construction by the BDA and the documents, which Sandipta had provided them, were found to be fake.
After paying a heavy penalty, Kar lodged a police complaint on basis of which Sandipta was arrested on Tuesday.
