Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday effected a minor reshuffle in the IAS cadre.
Agriculture Production Commissioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been given additional charge of Revenue and Disaster Management Department. The 1988-batch IAS officer will replace Nikunja Bihari Dhal (1993-batch officer), who has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
Dhal will succeed Pramod Kumar Meherda (1997-batch officer), who has been posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Commerce and Transport, with additional charge as Special Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department.
Similarly, Dibya Joyti Parida (2016-batch officer) will replace Yeddula Vijay (2014-batch IAS officer) as Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation, with additional charge as CEO, Rourkela Smart City Limited.
Parida earlier served as Deputy Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, will additional charge of National Health Mission.
Vijay has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Planning and Convergence.
Arun Bothra, an IPS officer of 1996 batch, will now hold additional charge as CMD, OSRTC, besides his responsibilities as CEO, CESU, and MD, CRUT.
