Berhampur: Burglars broke into a Bajaj showroom in the city and made away with Rs 8.76 lakh in cash, police said.
The owner of the showroom, Aloke Sundar Bajpayee said when he came to open the showroom at Saradhabali near Khodasingi on Wednesday morning, he found the outside locks broken. The miscreants might have broken the locks of the showroom on Tuesday night and committed the burglary, he added.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation. The scientific team along with the sniffer dog were investigating for clues on the spot.
As many CCTV cameras are fitted inside the showroom, the police are hopeful to nab the burglars soon.
