Bhubaneswar: The upcoming Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar, 2018 has given the Odisha government a good chance to promote state tourism too. In a two-pronged strategy to achieve its objective, the Odisha Government has taken over buses in Sydney and Munich.

The buses will highlight the theme of the campaign, “Odisha by Morning, Hockey by Evening.”

This move will be instrumental in attracting fans, tourists and decision-makers, towards the state to enjoy the matches and also the beauty of the city.

This intriguing bus advertising campaign will be visible from September 24 in Sydney and October 1 in Munich. Sydney being one of the major hockey-playing destinations, a large number of fans from there are expected to come for the mega event in November.

But that is not the only thing fans from Sydney and Munich should come to Odisha for. Odisha is a fantastic tourist destination and has a lot to offer in terms of experiences and activities. They can get their family and friends along with them to explore the city during the day and cheer for their favourite teams during the night.

Promotion on buses will not only be reinforcing the campaign message to an already engaged customer base but capture the attention of those planning their next escape.

State Sports and Youth Services Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Vishal Dev said, “Bus advertising campaign is a powerful way to ensure that your messages are being heard and seen. They give valuable exposure to audiences during the peak morning and evening commutes and the frequency of being seen by people is also huge. By promoting this campaign, Odisha will popularise itself as an exciting sports and tourist destination to the world.”

The bus advertising activity forms part of a wider marketing campaign for Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018.

A similar activity was conducted in London during the Hockey Women’s World Cup promotion and it received a very positive response from the people.
