Bus Fare Hiked In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Wednesday increased fares for all categories of passenger buses under automatic fare adjustment mechanism.

According to a government notification, the fares for Ordinary and Express buses have been hiked by 1 paisa per kilometre and that of Deluxe and AC Deluxe category buses by 2 paise per kilometre.
With the hike coming into effect, the fare for Ordinary buses will now be 65 paise per km as against 64 paise per km earlier while the fare for Express buses will be 68 from 67 paise per km.
Besides, the Deluxe category buses will now charge 91 paise per km as against 89 paise earlier while AC Deluxe will charge Rs 1.13 instead of the current Rs 1.11 paise per km.
