Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday hiked bus fares again in view of rise in diesel prices.
The new fares, notified by the State Transport Authority (STA), came into effect from Monday (April 18).
The fare of Ordinary buses has been increased from Rs 0.90/km to Rs 0.92/km. For Express buses, it has been hiked from Rs 0.94/km to Rs 0.96/km.
The fare of Deluxe buses has been increased from Rs 1.31/km to Rs 1.35/km and AC Deluxe buses from Rs 1.59/km to Rs 1.63/km. The fare of Super Premium buses has been increased from Rs 2.47/km to Rs 2.53/km.
The state government had hiked bus fares on March 31.
