Bhubaneswar: Bus fares across all categories were reduced by the Odisha government on Friday.
The revised fares come into effect immediately.
The fares of ordinary and express buses have been decreased by 1 paisa per kilometre and that of deluxe and AC deluxe buses by 2 paisa per kilometer.
The official notification said the fares hav been slashed because of reduction in petrol prices.
The fares are as follows:
Ordinary – 68p/km (from 69p/km)
Express – 71p/km (from 72p/km)
Deluxe – 97p/km (from 99p/km)
AC Deluxe – 119p/km (from 121p/km)
