Malkangiri: Private bus owners in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Sunday announced a strike protesting operation of LAccMI bus service.
The bus owners said that the tier two bus service under LAccMI service was impacting their business adversely.
“The service was launched in October, 2023. We did not have any issues with the buses plying between panchayats and block headquarters. However, the AC buses from blocks to district headquarters is a cause of concern,” the bus owners said and sought a resolution.
The bus owners said they have loans, EMIs and other liabilities which are addressed with the vehicles running normally. “Under such circumstances we will go bankrupt,” they added.
