Anandpur: Tension prevailed at Anandpur in Keonjhar district on Thursday as members of Private Bus Owners’ Association created ruckus at Hasanpur toll plaza, opposing fee collection that began on NH-20 this morning.
Owing to the flash protest, several vehicles, especially buses, were stranded as the protestors blocked the road for nearly an hour.
The situation was brought under control after district officials reached the spot and convinced the agitators that toll collection will be suspended till a meeting between the bus owners and district collector is convened on Friday to discuss the issue.
