Malkangiri: To ensure better connectivity in Swabhiman Anchal of Odisha, the Odisha government on Thursday started bus service between Malkangiri town and Panasput in Chitrakonda block.
Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi and Chitrakonda MLA Purna Chandra Baka inaugurated the OSRTC bus service at Balimela Chhak this morning. The bus will start from Malkangiri at 6 am and reach Panasput at 10 am. It will leave Panasput at 2 pm and reach Malkangiri at 7 pm, sources said.
Notably, 5T secretary VK Pandian had assured the people of bus services from the region, once considered a Maoist hotbed, during his recent visit to the district.
