Khurda: A businessman sustained critical injuries after unidentified miscreants reportedly hurled crude bombs at him at a village in Odisha’s Khurda district on Saturday.
The incident happened at Kantia village under the jurisdiction of Jatni police station when some bike-borne miscreants allegedly hurled bombs at the businessman, identified as Rachitrananda Samantray, sources said.
The businessman has been admitted to a hospital where his condition was stated to be serious.
On being informed, a team of police personnel rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. A case has been registered.
Three unexploded crude bombs were reported to have been recovered from the site, while some people in the area are being questioned
While the exact reason behind the attack was yet to be ascertained, past enmity is suspected to have led to the incident, the sources added.
