Businessman Dies In Accident During Luxury SUV Test Drive

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru-based businessman and his family met with an accident during a luxury SUV test drive that resulted in the death of one, recently.

According to police sources, Sagar J Rao (31), along with his wife, son and business partner, took a test drive of Range Rover Evoque car on Tuesday afternoon. The car was reportedly being driven at a very high speed and it fell into a 10-metre deep ditch near Nayandhalli toll gate on Nice Road here after hitting the road divider. Sagar died on the way to the hospital.

His wife Sandhya (28), son Samarth (6), friend Goutham (30) and a representative of the company, are admitted in a private hospital. Sandhya sustained a spine injury.

The car, which costs over Rs 60 lakh, was being driven by Goutham, Deputy Commissioner of Police Bengaluru Traffic West Soumyalatha SK told The News Minute.

The passengers sitting in the front survived the accident because of airbags and the seat belts, the sources added.
