Rourkela: A businessman from Rourkela in Odisha, who allegedly died by suicide by jumping off a building in Jamshedpur on Thursday, left behind a video in which he accused his wife and in-laws of slapping a false dowry case against his family. The video has gone viral.
In the video, the businessman, identified as Rahul Agarwal, alleged that because of the false case, his elderly parents had to make rounds of courts and were suffering.
He also alleged that he was not allowed to meet or speak to his children. Agarwal further alleged that the Jamshedpur police did not listen to his side and acted on the allegations of his in-laws.
Aggarwal, a resident of Rourkela’s civil township, and his wife Varsha had married in 2012.
He allegedly jumped off Om Tower in Jamshedpur’s Bistupur on Thursday. He had arrived in Jamshedpur a day before the incident and checked into a hotel. On Thursday, he checked out but kept his luggage at the hotel, then went to Om Tower and allegedly jumped off the building.
