Businessman robbed of Rs 4L in Bargarh

Bargarh: Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 4 lakh from a businessman near a branch of HDFC bank in Bargarh district on Tuesday.

According to reports, two motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted one Jogi Kar while he was on his way to deposit the money in the bank. One of them pushed him, snatched the bag containing the cash and immediately fled the spot.

The victim has lodged a complaint with the local police regarding the incident.

On Monday, a similar incident was reported from Balasore district, where two employees of Shergada toll plaza were robbed of Rs 60 lakh. One of the employees was critically injured after the robbers opened fire on him in a bid to loot the cash.
