Dhenkanal: A businessman allegedly shot himself dead with his gun in front of his residence in Caltex Square area of Odisha’s Dhenkanal town on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Balaram Sahu, owner of a crusher unit and brick kiln.
While the exact reason as to why Sahu took the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that he was under mental stress due to substantial business loans.
On being informed, Dhenkanal Town Police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. His family members were also questioned regarding his alleged death by suicide.
