Bhubaneswar: Two days after the Twin City Commissionerate Police sealed a bar in the city for violating COVID-19 guidelines, the owner of a cafe was booked for allegedly allowing more than 100 people to watch IPL match at the facility.

According to police sources, the people had gathered at ‘Galaxy Garden’ cafe in Infocity area to watch an IPL match on projector screen. COVID-19 norms like wearing masks and maintaining social distance were reportedly not followed by the customers.
On being informed, the Infocity Police raided the place. The police have registered against Amlan Mishra, owner of the cafe, under Sections 269, 270 of the IPC and Section 3 of the ED Act.
On October 18, the Commissionerate Police sealed Echoes Resto-Bar located at Patia, where a birthday party was organised, on similar allegation.
