Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay has tweeted about two lady constables and ‘bride-to-be’ in Odisha’s Sundargarh, who postponed their wedding to discharge duty during COVID-19 lockdown.
The DGP wrote that he came to know about them while on a visit to Sundargarh to review the enforcement of lockdown measures.
They are Home Guard Tilotama Meher, whose wedding was scheduled for April 12, and Constable Sunita Adha, who was to be wedded on April 25.
“She has postponed her wedding and leave to do Corona duty .And make world safer for all brides,” the DGP wrote about Tilotama.
Sunita is posted at Birmitrapur and the DGP said that she wants to ensure that her locality is safe first.
