Bhubaneswar: An awareness campaign against the overuse of plastic and its bad effects on the ecology was launched in the city to mark World Environment Day on Wednesday.
The campaign “Say No to Plastic” was organized by New Indian Express (TNIE) at Unit-IV market. Around 1,000 recycled cotton bags with the logo “Avoid Plastic, Save Earth” were distributed among early morning customers on the occasion.
The initiative was widely acknowledged by both traders and shoppers, who pledged their support to the green drive.
