New Delhi: Even as India has been pushing for the extradition of Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Singh Gill, alias Arsh Dalla, a Canadian court granted bail to the de facto chief of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force.
Arsh Dalla’s bail was on the condition of furnishing a surety bond of $30,000, with the next hearing in the case set for February 24, 2025.
Dalla was arrested for his suspected involvement in a shooting incident on October 28 in Canada’s Halton.
Since then, the Indian government has been trying to extradite him from Canada.
A native of Punjab’s Moga district, Arsh Dalla is wanted in India for various criminal activities in India.
He rose to prominence after taking over the reins of KTF following Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s assassination in Canada’s British Columbia in June 2023.
According to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Dalla lives in Surrey, British Columbia, with his family. He has been recruiting young people from Punjab and Haryana via social media to expand his terror network.
