Ottawa: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family have been shifted out of their home in the country’s capital and moved to a secret location, according to reports.
The step came after thousands of truckers and protesters converged on Parliament Hill in the capital, demanding an end to Canada’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other public health restrictions.
Thousands of truckers are protesting in Ottawa against the vaccine mandate for drivers crossing the US-Canada border and other COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the Trudeau government. The protest is called ‘Freedom Convoy’.
According to reports, several protesters were seen dancing on a prominent war memorial, drawing condemnation from Canada’s top soldier Gen Wayne Eyre and Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand.
