Berhampur: Branch manager of Canara Bank’s Badamba branch Tapan Sahu allegedly went missing on Monday while returning from Odisha’s Berhampur.
According to sources, he logged into the computer at the bank’s Kalapathara branch in Cuttack district, spoke to his staff at Badamba as he was getting late and then left for Badamba on a motorcycle. He phone, however, was found switched off after Patani Chhak. “He left around 6 pm and last spoke to his bank staff at around 9.45 pm. I have been trying his phone but it is switched off. We went to Berhampur and lodged a complaint with police there. We did not come across any accident case,” Elisa Pradhan, his wife, told the media.
Unable to locate him, a Badama branch staffer, Ajit Kumar Tarai, also filed a written complaint with Baideswar police
