Cuttack: A patient was found hanging in a private nursing home at Bajrakabati in Cuttack on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Rangadhar Baiti, a resident of Tihidi area of Bhadrak district.
Some employees of the hospital spotted the body hanging from the ceiling fan of a ward and alerted the hospital authorities and police.
Police found a suicide in which it was mentioned that no one was responsible for Rangadhar’s death.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the person has committed suicide. However, the exact cause of death can only be ascertained after receiving the post-mortem report, police sources informed.
According to the doctors of the nursing home, Rangadhar was admitted to the hospital as he was suffering from cancer.
