Candidates Allege Paper Leak During OSSC Exams In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: Chaos prevailed at a centre for OSSC’s Statistical Assistant examination at Gopalgaon in Odisha’s Balasore on Sunday after aspirants alleged that the question paper seal was open before the test started.

According to examinees, the question paper went viral before the exam. However, both allegations were dismissed by exam centre authorities.

Furthermore, a student claimed to have been detained after he raised concerns, sources added.

The incident was compounded by alleged tampered CCTV footage, leading to aspirants demanding re-examination, but the authorities rubbished it, citing technical errors.

According to sources, the exam for statistical assistant was supposed to be held from 10:30 am to 12 pm today.

However, candidates suspected that the question paper had been leaked as the seal on the question bundle was open before the invigilator entered the hall, sources added.

The college superintendent said there was no irregularity and due procedure was followed for conducting the exam.

“The allegations are baseless and no one has been detained or refrained from writing the exam,” he added.
