Bhubaneswar: Health and Family Welfare minister Naba Kishore Das on Friday circuitously admitted that there are fake doctors in Odisha.
“I am not saying that there are no fake doctors in Odisha,” the minister said while seaking to the media in the wake of the arrest of a fake doctor from Rourkela.
However, he said that action is being taken against the person who is fraudulently engaged in medical practice.
“We have one such instance in the arrest of a fake doctor from Rourkela. If any such incident comes to our notice, we will take appropriate action. The department has formed a special team to detect such cases. On the basis of its recommendation, action will be taken,” he added.
