New Delhi: Two minors have been nabbed for allegedly killing a teenager for resisting phone snatching.
According to police, one of the accused snatched the mobile phone of the deceased. When the latter tried to resist, the second boy slit his throat and stabbed him several times in broad daylight.
The Maidan Garhi police station received a call on Saturday afternoon regarding a dead body lying near Radha Krishna Mandir in Telephone mohalla. On reaching the crime spot, cops recovered the body of a teen with stabbing marks on his body and a deep cut on his throat.
The deceased was identified by his grandmother as Harsh, a resident of Kalu Ram Chowk, Sanjay Colony.
Police went through CCTV footage from nearby areas and interrogating a number of people before zeroeing in on two minors, around 15 years old, both residents of Sanjay Colony Bhati Mines.
The duo admitted to killing Harsh during questioning.
The knife which was used to attack Harsh, his mobile phone, SIM card, clothes and shoes worn by the suspects have been recovered by cops.
A case of murder has been registered at Maidan Garhi police station and further investigation was taken up.
