Bhubaneswar: In order to save the patients from waiting on long queues for consultation with doctors, the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar launched the provision of online registration on Monday.
According to Dr Laxmidhar Sahoo, director of the Capital Hospital, the patients or their relatives can book their slots in the departments concerned of the hospital at its official website.
They can click on the website https://eswasthya.odisha.gov.in to register their names with details of the ailment and the department they want to visit for consultation. After bringing out a print of the registration file, they can visit the hospital as per the scheduled time mentioned there and meet the doctors, Dr Sahoo said.
For further convenience of the patients unable to bring the print-out, the hospital authorities have installed a printing machine in the campus. They can scan the QR code on the machine and get the print of the registration form.
Dr Sahoo further said the online registration can be done from midnight to 5 pm everyday in a week. Initially, the facility will cater to registration of 500 patients on daily basis. The patients can go for consultation with doctors at the hospital from 3 pm to 5 pm everyday except Sunday, he added.
