Bhubaneswar: The Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar is all set to provide round-the-clock surgery facilities to needy patients and people injured in accidents.
The emergency operation theatre (OT) of the hospital will remain open throughout the day, according to Capital Hospital Director Laxmidhar Sahu.
Stating that necessary arrangements have been made to provide round-the-clock surgery facilities to needy patients and accident victims, he said these patients will not be referred to other hospitals in future.
A special Operation Theatre has been set up at the Capital Hospital for providing 24-hour surgery facilities.
Around 200 doctors are working in Capital Hospital at present, Sahu said, adding that doctors and other health personnel will be deployed in three shifts to provide the round-the-clock surgery facilities.
The Capital Hospital so far did not have facilities for surgery at night people injured in road accidents, other mishaps and needy patients were referred to other hospitals, sources said.
