Malkangiri: Two people were killed on the spot after a speeding car collided head-on with them near Badali square on the Malkangiri-Kalimela road in Malkangiri district on Monday night.
Meghnad Das and Shyamal Sen were residents of MV-13 village. After the accident tension erupted in MV-13, as residents torched the four-wheeler and staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the next of kin of those killed.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and started investigations into the matter.
