Car crashes into electric pole killing two in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: Two persons were killed and as many sustained grievous injuries when a car in which they were travelling crashed into a road-side electric poll on NH-57 at Sanpada in Nayagarh district late on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Sanjay Panda and Sukant Sahu. Those injured were initially admitted to Nayagarh district headquarters hospital and later shifted to Bhubaneswar for better treatment.
The accident occurred when four youth, all natives of Matiapada in Puri district, were heading towards Magarabandha village in the district in a car. At Sanada, the vehicle skidded and crashed into an electric poll killing two of them on the spot, police sources informed.
The vehicle has been seized and investigation is on to ascertain the exact cause of the accident, the sources added.
