Bhubaneswar: A parked car was completely gutted in a sudden fire late on Monday night in Jayadurga Nagar under the Laxmisagar Police Station limits in Bhubaneswar.
The blaze broke out without warning and spread rapidly, engulfing the vehicle in flames within seconds and reducing it to ashes, reports said.
Local residents noticed the fire and alerted the authorities. Fire department sent a rapid response team from Bhubaneswar Fire Station to tackled the blaze. The fire was brought under control preventing it from spreading to nearby structures or vehicles.
No injuries or fatalities were reported in connection with the incident. However, the vehicle parked at the site was completely destroyed, with reports describing it as having “turned to ashes within seconds.”
The exact cause of the fire has not been established. An investigation is underway to determine the precise origin and cause.
