Balangir : The driver of a car had a miraculous escape after the vehicle crashed into an electric pole and jumped over a roadside compound wall in Kantabanji area of Odisha’s Balangir district.
As per information, the mishap took place near Kurli village on Kantabanji-Belpada road in the district on Saturday night. The car apparently rammed into the electric pole after losing balance and then moved onto the wall.
Sources said that the driver was the only one in the car and he was rescued safely, The driver had a narrow escape after the vehicle met with the accident late on Saturday.
The car was hanging precariously from the boundary wall. The exact reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained. It is still not clear whether the driver of the car was in an inebriated condition or the vehicle faced some snag.
