Mumbai: The car accident which left Govinda’s son Yashvardhan injured had made headlines recently. But not many are aware that the vehicle which had rammed into Yashvardhan’s car belonged to the Yash Raj family.
Govinda, in an interview with a tabloid, revealed that the car belonged to late Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra.
Govinda further stated that after the accident, Yash Raj Films’ production manager Rishabh Chopra and Akshay went to the police station and apologized to him. However, he is shocked that no one from the Yash Raj family called him after the accident.
“The car belonged to Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra. I was shocked that they haven’t called me so far. Maybe they will call later,” said Govinda.
The actor hasn’t filed any police complaint against YRF as the driver apologized to him.
“We have not lodged a police complaint because the driver apologised to us, and it is a car from Yash Raj. We have an old relationship with them. Their driver was driving the car. He is also safe,” said the actor.
The accident took place on May 24, near Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow Prateeksha.
Yash, who was at the wheels when YRF’s vehicle hit his car, suffered minor injuries on his arm. His car was dented at a few places.
YRF’s driver was speeding on way to pick up BR Chopra’s grandson Rishabh when the mishap took place.
