Bhubaneswar: Car and shoes of a Gujarati businessman, who had been missing since Wednesday, have been found on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu at Trisulia in Odisha Cuttack.
He has been identified as Tushar Bhatt of Patia in Bhubaneswar.
Some passersby informed Barang police about the car on the Trisulia bridge. It is being suspected that he might have attempted suicide by jumping into Kathajodi river after an online trading loss.
Sources said that Tushar left the house on Wednesday around 2 pm and his wife filed a complaint with police when he did return.
A friend of Tushar said that he was in a good mood and their was no sign of depression which could have led to the extreme act. “However, Tushar had mentioned about 2 businessmen from Gujarat who were scheduled to meet him over the weekend.”
A case has been registered in this connection and search is on to trace Tushar, the police said.
