Case Against Odisha Health Minister’s Daughter For Violating COVID-19 Guidelines

Jharsuguda:  A case was registered in Jharsuguda police station on Sunday against the daughter of the Health and Family Welfare minister Naba Kishore Das for violation of COVID-19 guidelines.

Speaking to the media here, Jharsuguda SP Rahul PR said a case has been registered against Deepali Das, daughter of the Health minister, and others following a complaint filed by the Municipality Executive Officer who is designated as COVID-19 magistrate.

According to the complaint, a function was organised by Deepali and others at the conference hall of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) to felicitate the corona warriors. More than 50 persons attended the function without maintaining the mandatory norm of social distancing.
