Puri: Singhadwara police registered cases against two persons for
clicking photographs inside Puri Jagannath Temple and circulating the
same on social media.
The cases were registered against Aakash Madake of Pune and Yugal
Kishore Vaishnav, a resident of Raipur, on the basis of an FIR lodged
by Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
They had allegedly taken pictures inside the temple’s inner precinct a
few days ago with cell phones during separate visits and later
uploaded the same on Facebook.
Carrying of cameras and video recording devices inside the 12th
century shrine is prohibited.
The incident has raised questions over the security
arrangements at the temple.
