New Delhi: Already past the second stage, Delhi is reporting a “third wave” of COVID-19 outbreak, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday.
The national capital reported 6,725 new coronavirus positive cases on Tuesday as its overall tally went past 400,000.
“I want to inform the public that Delhi is reporting a surge in COVID-19 cases over the past few days. I would call this a third wave of the pandemic in the city because in the end of September and the beginning of October, daily COVID-19 cases had started to drop below 3,000,” Kejriwal said, adding that he would review management of the pandemic in a meeting on Thursday.
Kejriwal informed that his government will move the Supreme Court (SC) to vacate Delhi High Court’s stay on the administration’s order of reserving 80% of ICU beds for COVID patients in 33 private hospitals.
