Bhubaneswar: Two days after taking charge of the alleged gang-rape of a minor girl in the city, the Odisha Crime Branch (CB) on Friday summoned the managing director (MD) of private regional news channel OTV Jagi Mangat Panda.
She had asked her to appear before it at its office here at 11 am on Saturday.
The girl was allegedly gangraped by several employees of the channel for around 15 days during the month of April-May.
The girl’s mother in her complaint lodged with Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR), had accused Panda of not taking action against the culprits and trying to suppress the incident.
She further alleged that the MD had also pressurised her not to proceed further in the case.
Panda had earlier appeared before the Odisha State Commission for Women in this connection.
