Bhubaneswar: A team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out a raid at AIIMS Bhubaneswar as part of probe into alleged irregularities in a tender process.
Sources said that the raid was conducted by an eight-member team of the premier central investigating agency late on Thursday night.
The team members raids raided a pharmacy store on the premises of the premier medical institute. The raid was conducted as part of an operation launched following allegation of irregularities in the tender process of the pharmacy store.
While details of the raid were not immediately available, the CBI team was reported to have examined various papers and seized certain documents to ascertain if the tender process was as per the standard guidelines laid down by the government.
Besides examining the records of the medicines purchased, the team members were reported to have questioned the owners and staff of the pharmacy store.
However, AIIMS authorities were not immediately available for comment. Further details are awaited.
