Sambalpur: The CBI on Friday raided the house of businessman Natwarlal Agarwal at Balibandha over allegations of Rs 5 crore bank fraud.
According to reports, Agarwal had furnished forged documents to avail a loan of Rs 5 crore from Union Bank Main branch in 2014-17 for his graphite business.
The fraud came to light on April 6 when Sambalpur Regional Office AGM of UB, Tapan Kumar Sahu filed a complaint against six persons, three companies and unidentified employees at CBI’s Bhubaneswar office.
The CBI registered a case against Agarwal and raided his house.
