New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Wednesday announced the schedule for Class X and XII practical examinations. The detailed notification of the schedule has been posted on the board’s website cbse.gov.in.
The CBSE practical examinations for Class X and Class XII will be held between January 2 and February 14, 2023.
The CBSE has issued a guideline and SOP for the conduct of the examinations. The practical examinations/project/internal assessment is conducted by all the schools as per provisions given in the scheme of studies/examination by-laws prescribed by CBSE.
Correct and timely assessment of the practical, project and internal assessment components in Classes X and XII is of paramount importance for the declaration of results.
“It has been observed that some schools are committing serious mistakes and requesting the board to change the result after its declaration. Schools are being, therefore, directed to follow the instructions as given hereunder as no request will be accepted by the CBSE to change the uploaded marks in any manner,” said CBSE.
The CBSE has a prescribed subject-wise curriculum and most of the subjects contain 2 or 3 assessment components – theory and practical/project/internal assessment. The curriculum also contains a breakup of the maximum marks for the theory question paper and practical/project/internal assessment.
