Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education’s Class-X exams 2019 kicked off at 10.30am on Thursday.
Students are writing the exams for E-Publishing and E-Office subjects on Thursday. The exam is of two hours’ duration.
Core subject exams will start on March 2 and the exams will conclude on March 29.
Sources at the CBSE’s regional office in Bhubaneswar said though the exam started from February 21, few students from Odisha are appearing for these optional subjects.
Approximately 18.19 lakh students have registered for the CBSE Class 10 board exam 2019. Over 55,000 of them are from this zone and over 18,000 students from Odisha.
It was feared that the bandh called by the Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan would hit the examination, but the Sangathan set all speculation to rest, saying the exams would not be hit.
