Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) will announce the results of the Class X and Class XII board exams by July 15.
The two boards said this on Friday, a day after they notified the Supreme Court that they will cancel the pending exams for Classes X and XII this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Class XII students will get the chance to sit for optional exams to improve their scores, CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.
According to Bhardwaj, CBSE’s assessment scheme will consider marks achieved by students in the last three papers of board exams. If Class XII students appear for the optional exams, the marks obtained will be treated as the final score, he added.
