Gorakhpur: Divyangi Tripathi couldn’t believe her luck when she received an invitation to witness the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s box.
It was a reward and recognition for topping the CBSE Class 12 exams in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur. She will be joined by other meritorious students from different parts of India, reported ANI.
Divyangi, who scored 99.6% in the Board exams last year, can’t wait to travel to the Indian capital.
“I am very excited about this… It’s a very good initiative launched by the government. Students from all sections of society are selected without any discrimination,” she remarked, hoping that her invitation will motivate others to perform well.
The excitement among her friends is no less. “They have been asking me what I’ll tell the Prime Minister when I meet him… I’ll have to think,” she said.
