Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) owner VG Siddhartha’s body was reportedly found by a group of fishermen from Netravati river at 6.30 am on Wednesday.
Siddhartha went missing on Monday evening near a bridge over the same river. He got down from his car and said he would take a walk, according to his driver. As he didn’t return for an hour, the driver alerted Siddhartha’s family members.

The Coast Guard, NDRF and Navy had been searching for Siddhartha. The dog squad had got a smell of Siddhartha on the bridge.
A letter, supposedly written by Siddhartha, surfaced on Tuesday. It said he had failed as an entrepreneur and faced harassment from income tax officials.
Siddhartha, a coffee estate businessman, founded the country’s largest coffee chain and was son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna.
