Bhubaneswar: Housing & Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena on Friday said an integrated plan is being prepared for developing 400 acres of land between Bali Jatra ground and Hadiapatha.
Under this plan, a CDA-like township will be developed on the bank of the Mahanadi with all types of facilities for the denizens of Cuttack, he said.
“The area will be carved out by dredging in the Mahanadi. The plan is likely to include convention halls, sports complex, water sports complex, where Tourism activities can be taken up, residential areas, offices and the second campus of SCB medical College and Hospital,” the Minister said.
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines will be strictly followed while carrying out the activities, he added.
